1st Annual Hawaii Island Tour

CHICAGO (October 19, 2007) - EVP tour, a Professional national beach volleyball tour announced today the 2007 Corona Light EVP Hawaii Tour Schedule. The Corona Light EVP Hawaii Tour will bring together some of the best beach volleyball teams from around the country and the Hawaiian islands to compete in a series of events for a share of more than $12,000 in cash and prizes. Each event will payout equal prize money in Women’s and men’s fields; 1st place $800 2nd $500 3rd $150 3rd $150.
The Corona Light EVP Volleyball Tour will be hosting 4 island events that promise to bring the great excitement of Beach volleyball back to Hawaii. The First event will be on November 10th at Keauhou Beach, Big Island of Hawaii. The 1st event will be hosted by the Keauhou Volleyball Association and the games will be played at Keauhou Bay Courts and the Coconut Grove Court.

- (November 10) Keauhou Beach – Big Island of Hawaii
- (November 24) Kalapaki Beach - Kauai
- (December 15) Kaanapali Beach - Maui
- (February 9) Queens Surf Beach - Oahu
With the City-versus-city competition, a trade mark of EVP Tour tournaments, the players and fans enjoy strong rivalries, as the teams from several Islands will battle for supremacy in the sand and a chance to represent their Island nationwide. The Island tour will permit Hawaiian players to create an inter-island rivalry throughout these beautiful locations.

Corona Light has been the title sponsor of the EVP Tour since 2003 and for the past 5 years we have been, encouraging fans every year to travel at the speed of Corona Light and have a great summer by drinking responsibly.

In addition, each tour stop offers local spectators the opportunity to compete in contests, clinics with the pros and lots of volleyball. The action doesn’t stop when the sun ends. Pre and post event parties at local bars will give fans have the opportunity to bump elbows with their favorite players and compete in fun events like “Bump for the Bucket” for fun prizes while enjoying a refreshing Corona Light.

Teams competing in the 2007 Corona Light EVP Hawaii Tour will travel from all areas of the Islands, along with a few Mainland players that will bring that extra flavor to this year’s competition. Veteran tour players like Mark Paaluhi, Carrie Wright, Gretchen Duffner and Kelly Hickam will head a line up of EVP players battling it out in paradise. Come join us for “a great day at the beach.”
